Create a short link

Enter the full page address or a short form like example.com; any format works.

https:// is added automatically when missing, and links that look unsafe are rejected.

How to shorten a link

  1. 01Paste the link

Enter the full page address or a short form like example.com; https:// is added when needed.

  2. 02Create the short link

The form screens the link, then generates a random six-character code and stores the destination behind it.

  3. 03Copy and share

Copy the link in the qr12345.com/s/... form and open it in a private window to check the destination before sending it.

How the shortener works

When you create a link, the form checks the address: it adds https:// when missing, rejects dangerous schemes such as javascript: and data:, and screens for suspicious keywords like phishing or malware. It then generates a random six-character code and stores the destination, producing a link such as qr12345.com/s/Ab12Cd. When the short link is opened, the server looks up the stored destination and redirects the visitor to it.

What visits record

Each visit stores the browser, device type, operating system, referring page and whether the visitor is a bot, tied to an anonymous session ID. The tool does not look up the real IP address or geolocation and stores their value as "unknown". The statistics appear in the admin dashboard.

Expiry and link management

This page does not let you set an expiry date or edit a link after creating it; it only creates links. The redirect service supports both deactivation and expiry, so visitors see an error instead of being redirected if a link is deactivated or expires later.

Can I use the link in printed material?

Yes. Enter the short link into the QR code generator so people can reach it with a phone camera, and test the code from a final-size print before handing it out. Open the QR code generator to create and download the code.

For a step-by-step walkthrough, read the URL shortening and destination testing guide (in Arabic).

Shorten, shrink or cut a link: is there a difference?

No. Shortening, shrinking and cutting a URL all describe the same thing: turning a long address into a short link that opens exactly the same page. The links created here start with qr12345.com/s/ and work in messages, social posts and print.

Short links open directly, with no ad pages

Some shorteners show a waiting page or ads before the destination to earn money from every click. Here the server sends the visitor straight to the original page with no interstitial or countdown. For the same reason, links to pay-per-click shorteners and IP-logging tools cannot be shortened, which protects the people who open your links.

Frequently asked questions

Is URL shortening free?

Yes. The tool is free and needs no account, and you can create as many links as you need.

Can I choose the short code?

No. The system generates a random six-character code for each link and retries automatically if the code is already taken.

Do the links expire?

This page does not set an expiry date on the links it creates, but the redirect service checks whether a link is active and whether it has expired, so a link can stop working if it is deactivated or expires later.

Are there ads before a short link opens?

No. Visitors are redirected straight to the original page with no waiting page or ads.

What happens when someone opens a short link?

The server looks up the stored destination, rejects unsafe or private addresses, and redirects the visitor to the original page.

What is recorded about visitors?

Each visit stores the browser, device type, operating system, referring page and whether the visitor is a bot, tied to an anonymous session. The tool does not look up IP addresses or geolocation.

Can I edit or delete a link?

This page does not offer editing or deletion after creation; check the destination before sharing and create a new link when you need one.

Why is my short link not opening?

Make sure the code was copied in full; the destination may be offline or the link may have been deactivated. Open the original address to confirm the page is still available.

Can I use a short link in print?

Yes. Enter it into the QR code generator and test the code from a final-size print before handing it out.
