What happens when you transcribe?
When you submit a link, the page validates it and extracts the video ID, then creates a transcription job in the database that moves from pending to processing with a progress value. The page follows the job with a poll every two seconds and a realtime subscription; when it completes, the stored text is shown and can be downloaded. The transcript is saved so the same video can reuse it later.
Review the text before relying on it
Transcription depends on the text available for the video and on the transcription service configuration. If the keys are not configured, the tool returns a clearly labelled sample instead of an actual transcript, and automatic enhancement may rephrase punctuation. Check the text against the video before quoting or publishing it.
A note on download formats
TXT and DOCX handle Arabic text. PDF export uses a basic Latin font, so Arabic text may not display correctly; use TXT or DOCX for Arabic content.

Is the tool free?
Yes. You do not need an account to start a transcription or download the text.
Are the videos themselves stored?
The video file is not uploaded. The job data and the extracted text (video ID, title, status and progress) are stored so results can be reused and the video is not processed repeatedly.
Does the text include timestamps?
No. The tool shows and downloads the text as continuous prose, without per-segment timestamps.
What if the video has no available text?
The result depends on the text available for the video and on the service configuration. If none is available, a clearly labelled sample is shown; you can try another video or configure the service keys.
Which download formats are available?
TXT, PDF and DOCX. For Arabic content, prefer TXT or DOCX because the PDF export uses a basic Latin font.
